Tonight’s event was that of a jolly affair with the Holiday just around the corner! Tonight’s meeting we got to host our Charitable Youth organization, Job’s Daughters from Bethel #57 in Kirkland, WA. The Job’s daughters made a variety of sweet dishes from pies to cookies. The dinner carried on with that of a Prime Rib from Brother Frank Selden cooked.
WB Donn played the role of auctioneer selling pies anywhere from $25 to $100. You could guess how much a Pecan Pie can go for at West Gate.
During our Stated Meeting, the lodge recognized WB Phil Nylin with the Hiram Award for 2015. This is the 2nd award for Phil for the Hiram Award. Please look below for the slideshow.
WB Phil is a great example of a leader influencing other leaders. A personable man who strives to ensure new Masons are set in the right direction during the journey for more light. He was the perfect candidate for this year’s award for providing lectures and guidance for 5 Master Masons. He would make every effort to ensure that our new candidates felt comfortable when joining our new lodge and helping our members Master their crafts. Phil also is a member of the Financial Committee and ensures the future of our lodge remains in full stride as Masons before us have.
